The story of Oasis GeoPower began with a serendipitous connection between David McBay, Chairman and Founder of American GeoPower, and Faris Al Hajri on LinkedIn. This connection soon introduced David to Fuad Al Hajri, a renowned directional drilling technologist from Oman. Inspired by their shared vision, the trio embarked on weekly discussions, exploring the potential of a unique collaboration.
This partnership aimed to leverage Oman’s abundant natural resources and the expertise of American GeoPower to address the global issue of abandoned oil wells. By transforming these wells into sources of geothermal energy, the team envisioned a sustainable method to produce eco-friendly steam for enhanced oil recovery.
In 2024, the idea materialized when David McBay visited Oman to finalize the establishment of Oasis GeoPower. Since then, OGP has stood as a beacon of innovation and sustainability, committed to repurposing natural resources for a greener future.
